What is included in the online mode?
Given the hybrid format of the congress, participants in the online mode will have access, in real-time, to every conference that is being presented. The e-posters of the congress will also be available for consultation.
I am interested in participating in the 44th Conference, but it is probable that I will not be able to attend in person. Will I be able to participate online?
Of course; however, those who wish to participate in this modality should select the remote participation mode, in Registration Form.
When is the deadline for submitting proposals?
The deadline for proposals is March 1st, 2023.
When will I know if my proposal was approved?
From March 31st will begin to send the opinions of the proposals issued. We recommend you to stay tuned and, if necessary, check your spam folder.
Can I participate in the Conference, even if I will not be presenting a paper?
Yes, you can attend the event without being a speaker; however, it will be necessary to pay the registration fee.

What document is valid as proof of my student status?
You may present a scan of your school ID card or a transcript showing current enrollment.
How many authors can I register in a proposal?
Each author may present a maximum of three communications, but there is no limit to be a co-author. To receive a certificate, note that you must pay the registration fee by June 30th, 2023.

I completed the registration of my proposal, but I omitted some information. Can I make changes or add information?
Any changes or modifications will be subject to approval by the committee, and should be requested to star2023@ualg.pt.
Will I have a transport to drive me to the congress location?
Yes. Faro has public buses that can take you from the city’s center to the congress destination at Gambelas (6km). For more information, click here.
There will be a UAlg bus to transport participants between Faro city center (near the EVA Senses Hotel) and the congress venue (FE, Gambelas Campus), at the following time:
. Faro Center (Eva Senses Hotel) – 19th and 20th of July, at 8:30 am, and 21st of July, at 9:00 am;
. Gambelas Campus (FE) – 19th at 7:30 pm; 20th, at 6:00 pm; and 21st, at 2:30 pm.
